The Last Words
Pacchimā vācā

“Handa dāni, bhikkhave, āmantayāmi vo: vayadhammā saṅkhārā, appamādena sampādethā”ti.
“Now, monks, I tell you this: all conditioned things are bound to pass away. Strive on with heedfulness.”
Ayaṃ tathāgatassa pacchimā vācā.
These were the Tathāgata’s last words.
